Deburring

Burrs are a result of practically any type of metal processing: casting, stamping, sawing, machining, etc… The shape and strength of these burrs can vary significantly. The process most often used for deburring parts are mass finishing processes. That process could utilize a vibratory bowl or trough or possibly even a high energy unit. Air blasting or wheel blasting processes can occasionally be utilized for deburring light or weak burrs. However if the burrs are particularly strong they may require high energy mass finishing processes such as centrifugal disc, centrifugal barrel or even drag finishing.
