Colloidal Silica

Colloidal silica consists of stable dispersion amorphous silica particles. Silica particles must be small enough so that they are largely unaffected by gravity - therefore, silica particles are usually on the order of less than 100 nanometers. Typical application is as an abrasive for super polishing silicon wafers and other ceramic substrates.
